All There Ever Was
A comprehensive portfolio of creation

A bit about me
Hi, my name is Ray Christopher Sanchez — but my friends call me Chris.
Or Chezz. Or worse.
I stepped into the world of music at the age of 5, getting acquainted with the piano. With keys as my foundation, I picked up the drums at 9 to embrace my interest in rhythm, which drove me for 15 years until I incidentally fell into what would become my main love: vocals. This shouldn't have been too big a surprise since my father, Ray Sanchez, was a singer in his own right, releasing a doo-wop album with his band, 40 years earlier.
I put together a progressive metal band with some friends, called Cataklyzm, and played the local Long Island hot spots for a number of years, then moving on to more alternative rock with my new band, The Mercurial. Playing festivals and touring nationally, it was with this band that I released my first professionally produced album, The Mercurial. After our following break-up, I created some indie rock tracks with the guitarist, Dan Cohen, under a name I like to call, Gaston, which we never got around to releasing. Since then, I've picked up a bit of guitar and put out a few acoustic rock songs, alongside an experimental solo project that results in some avant garde pop tracks now and then.
The idea now is to let those hidden tracks hit the light in a centralized location; this website. Most of the songs since The Mercurial are unmastered, unmixed, or even unfinished, but they're juicy enough to drop, so here they are. And, while I'm unveiling all that jazz, I decided to make the site a portfolio of sorts, including films I've been honored to be a part of, as well as some other artistic endeavors such as voiceovers, poetry and otherwise. Enjoy.
